The MAULT desktop app is the full web app in its own window. Scanning keeps running when it is minimized or behind other apps, and a floating preview keeps the sorter in view.
Free, signs in with your existing MAULT account, and installs updates on its own.

Built for long sorting sessions
A browser pauses tabs it can't see. The desktop app keeps the sorter running and lets you watch it from anywhere on your screen.
Scans in the background
Minimize the window or cover it with other apps and the sorter keeps scanning and routing cards.
Floating preview
When MAULT goes into the background, a small always-on-top window shows the camera, status, card count and timer, with play, pause, auto-feed and drop all controls.
Taskbar controls
On Windows, hover the taskbar icon to pause, resume, toggle auto-feed or drop all without opening the app.
Desktop notifications
Errors and warnings show up as system notifications while you are working in another app.
Always up to date
The app always loads the latest MAULT and installs desktop updates in the background.
03 / Install
Installing the app
Some platforms ask for an extra click the first time you open it.
Windows
Run MAULT-windows.exe. If Windows SmartScreen says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway. MAULT opens when it finishes and adds a Start menu shortcut.
Linux
Make the file executable with chmod +x MAULT-linux.AppImage, then run it. To connect a sorter over USB, your user may need to be in the dialout group.
